I was going to wait to post this, but I figured I may as well share rather than leaving it lurking about. More posts after 15th June!

(taken on 21st May 2007 - I said that fashion never stops)

I said I’ve been wanting to try out fashion photography and since I know nobody who would be willing to be a model, I thought diy it (quite literally). So here is my first attempt and hopefully at some point, I shall meet someone willing to model for my next, so that it can venture into the realm of clothing rather than just heads.

Lash out

I’m not one who experiments much with makeup, simply because I am lazy. I think many people at school think I don’t know anything; little do they know about my obsession with beauty back when I was 12.My dad had banned me from buying clothes for the summer (Goodness knows why, he claimed I had a lot and they were expensive, this was a lie). So to irritate him mainly, I started buying loads of beauty crap. Mostly skin products (take it from me, half of them do not work) but also hair products and makeup. This was about the time I discovered the wonder of eyelash curlers. I already have quite long & thick eyelashes, but they aren’t particually curly (unlike a friend of mine, who has the longest and curliest eyelashes I’ve seen), so these were quite literally amazing. There are loads of different types - plastic, metal (like above) and heated ones. Personally, I avoid heated ones because I am afraid that they’ll burn my eye, but apparently, it lasts longer. Plastic ones are meant to be better than metal ones because they are less prone to removing your eyelashes, but if used correctly, the metal ones are good. Many of you, I’m sure already use lash curlers, but if not, try it out and see what you think.

The art of communication

Is it just me who has a difficult time telling the hairdresser what I want? Thus ending up with something that I am not entirely satisfied with. Or is it just that they don’t listen? That would be a serious problem if they didn’t.

The hair that was raven

Right the hair first. ————————————–>
I like it. My friend did a really nice cut and the colour is subtle, which is what I wanted. Quite possibly one of the best haircuts I have ever had because:

1) It’s actually what I wanted

2) I did not feel odd in my friend’s house as I have been there before (I find salon’s very uncomfortable to be in)

3) I got a cut and colour for a fraction of the price

Of course, I do not recommend anyone else letting a friend cut their hair unless they trust their friend completely and the said friend has cut hair before.

Foof!

Finally got this wordpress blog working. Whoopee!

Then I had to transfer all the previous entries from rose sequin which took an arm and a leg. I decided that I am going to turn that into a dream diary type blog.

Now I am off to get my hair cut and dyed by my friend. I’m not too sure whether brown hair will actually suit me and I am extremely worried about looking like those err… slutty type indians (you know the ones which have straightened brown hair and are like just well), but I have purchased the dye and bleach and as my friend said “you won’t you’re an indie kid”.  Don’t actually know whether I am actually an indie kid, but whatever.

Anyhoo I shall post the results later!
